When providing coaching services at Rennebo adhere to clear ethics that guide how we collaborate with out clients when providing coaching services. These ethics are designed to ensure the well-being and respect of clients, promote trust, and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
When coaching we are committed to uphold the follow these coaching ethics:
1. Respect for Individual Autonomy: We recognize and honor the autonomy of each one of you. We respect your values, beliefs, and choices, and we never impose our own agenda or values upon you. We create a safe and nonjudgmental space for open exploration.
2. Confidentiality and Privacy: We treat all your information with the strictest confidentiality. We maintain the privacy of all discussions, sessions, and materials shared by you, unless explicit consent is obtained or legal obligations dictate otherwise.
3. Integrity and Honesty: We conduct ourselves with integrity, honesty, and transparency in all interactions with you. We go out of our way to provide accurate information, and we are forthcoming about our qualifications, experience, and areas of expertise.
4. Competence and Professionalism: We continuously strive to maintain and enhance our coaching skills and knowledge. We only provide coaching services in areas where we have the appropriate expertise and avoid making unfounded claims.
5. Informed Consent: We ensure that you understand the coaching process, goals, and expectations before commencing our coaching relationship. You always have the right to make informed decisions about your participation.
6. Boundaries and Dual Relationships: We establish clear boundaries to avoid any conflicts of interest or dual relationships that could compromise the coaching relationship. We refrain from engaging in any activity that could impair objectivity or professionalism. When potential conflicts of interest arise, we are transparent and inform you of the possible conflict.
7. Duty of Care: We prioritize your well-being. If your needs are beyond our area of competence, we refer you to appropriate professionals. We do not provide therapy, counseling, medical, or legal advice unless qualified to do so.
8. Cultural Sensitivity and Diversity: We respect and value the diversity of clients’ backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. We are culturally sensitive and strive to provide you with an inclusive and supportive environment.
9. Feedback and Improvement: We are open to receiving feedback from you and are committed to continuous improvement. We seek ways to enhance our coaching skills and adapt our approach to better serve your unique needs.
10. Professional Accountability: We are accountable for our actions and decisions. If ethical dilemmas arise, we seek guidance from colleagues, mentors, or relevant professional organizations to ensure that we act in your best interests.
11. Consulting and Advisory: We clearly understand the difference between Coaching and Consulting/Advisory services, and when entering into engagements where we provide a maltitude of services, we always make it transparent to you when we are acting as coaches and when we acting as Consultants/Advisors.
